We encourage our children to take part in extra-curricular activities throughout the school year as we believe that this supports the children to make the most of their time with us and encourages them to develop many different skills. We feel that offering our children opportunities, both inside and outside of the school day, will broaden our pupils’ cultural capital and builds their character education.

We currently have a range of extra-curricular activities running in school and alongside these, we have a very busy timetable of sporting events, spread across the year, which involve different year groups. These are organised through a variety of partnerships including School Games events and wider Leeds South and Central School Sports events.

Lunchtime Clubs

During lunch times, pupils are offered a wide range of activities to continue their learning and promote health and fitness throughout the school day. These activities are run by a multi-skills coach, focusing on developing interpersonal and social skills for our pupils. Additionally, Year 6 students are offered a great opportunity with a Chess club run by Mr. Houlton, where they can learn to play and compete at different levels. Year 5 students run a crochet club which they organised themselves and have taught members of staff and other pupils to crochet.
