Welcome to 3 Coles! Our teachers are Miss Ackroyd and Mrs Bhardwaj. We are named after the inspirational mountaineer Rebecca Coles who guides others through some of the most challenging mountains on Earth.
We aim to be Greenmountianeers. This will involve being excellent communicators, building our vocabulary and speaking expertise. We will be inquisitive and learn about people and places around our world and from the past.
We have lots of exciting challenges ahead in Maths and English and will enjoy a range of new texts,using them as inspiration for our own writing. This year we will tackle our timestables and numbers within 1000.

Year 3 Mota
Hello, we are 3 Mota and we are a friendly, positive and hard-working group of children. Our teachers are Mrs Metcalfe and Miss Hussain. Our class is named after the inspirational marathon runner and mountaineer Haroon Mota who founded Muslim Hikers and Active Inclusion Network.
We will read some exciting new texts in Year 3 to inspire our own writing. We will use our determination and resilience to tackle the challenges of starting Key Stage Two. We have lots to look forward to this year including dealing with 3 digit numbers in Maths, learning to join our handwriting in English, learning how shadows are made and changed in Science, as well as volcanoes in Geography and the Stone Age in History.
It is promised to be an exciting year ahead where we will use our CLIMB qualities to achieve our very best!
